Gas escaping from the coating materials of cables used in the clean rooms of semiconductor device manufacturers has been adversely affecting semiconductor products, as well as the lenses used in the production equipment. This PVC low-outgas cable suppresses the problematic gas that escapes from the coating materials of the cable.

Concept of outgas
As shown in Figure B, a semiconductor wafer can become damaged due to the gas generated by the coating materials of the cable. This is because the ever-increasing minuteness of semiconductor manufacturing process technology does not allow the effect of gas adhesion to be ignored. A wide range of low-outgas cable types are now required for clean rooms, from various control cables to network and power cables.
