Overview

This is a motor drive cable featuring a proprietary cable structure (patent pending) that significantly reduces the effects of conducted noise caused by inverter switching.

Features

  • Although non-shielded, it delivers noise resistance equivalent to shielded cables (noise reduction effect).
  • Achieves approximately 15% smaller outer diameter and approximately 20% lighter weight than shielded cable (VCT-SB).
    More flexible than general cabtyre cables (VCT), providing easier handling during installation.
  • Noise resistance is achieved simply by collectively connecting the drain wire to ground; no troublesome shield processing is required, making termination work easy.
  • To meet FA applications that demand high flex reliability, we offer a lineup of cables for moving applications.
    Leveraging the cable structure, these cables provide excellent flex durability.
  • Environmentally friendly product; compliant with the RoHS Directive.

Applications

  • Ideal as a drive cable for motors controlled by inverters.
  • In addition to motor-drive applications, it can also be used for noise countermeasures in various inverter-controlled equipment. (For CNC applications, it is intended exclusively for FANUC Corporation CNC systems.)
  • Suitable for supplying power to equipment such as inverter-controlled motor drives, elevators, pumps, air-conditioning/HVAC units, machine tools, robots, and material-handling/transfer equipment.

Performance

By reducing the impedance between the power conductors and ground (shield), noise current flows more readily to ground, improving noise resistance (= noise current collection effect).

Termination Method


  • ①Gather the three ground (earth) wires at the center of the cable.

  • ②Evenly twist the three ground (earth) wires together.

  • ③To prevent the twisted ground (earth) wires from unraveling, protect and insulate them with insulating tape or heat-shrink tubing.
